Bruno Fernandes has been snapped with his agent in Manchester United colours, ahead of his move to the club from Sporting Lisbon. An announcement confirmed the deal which is for an initial £46million, is imminent. The attacking midfielder has been at Carrington all day to undergo his medical and sound out personal terms.

But reports earlier this week claimed Barcelona had now entered the race for Fernandes.
The Catalans saw Fernandes as a key in their hopes of landing Valencia striker Rodrigo this month.
Barcelona had planned to loan Valencia Fernandes before eventually welcoming him to the Camp Nou.
However United became panicked at the prospect of missing out and upped their offer.

United release a statement on their Twitter account ahead of the Manchester derby against Man City, confirming they’d reached an agreement with Sporting.
“Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes,” he said.
“The deal is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms.
“A further announcement will be made in due course.”
