Everton fans offered Adrien Rabiot transfer hope as Carlo Ancelotti lure explained
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to improve his midfield during the January transfer window and the Toffees are hoping the Italian’s appointment could convince a higher calibre of player to Goodison Park.
Everton: Carlo Ancelotti discusses possible January signings
Everton fans have been given hope in signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot this month, as the midfielder has been given limited minutes this season and he has previously worked with Ancelotti when they were both at Paris Saint-Germain.
Rabiot left PSG in the summer to join Juventus on a free transfer, but since making his move to Turin his minutes have been limited under Juve’s new manager Maurizio Sarri.
So far this season Rabiot has only played 15 times for the club, with a third of those appearances coming off the bench.
And while Sarri and the 24-year-old central midfielder have suggested he won't be leaving Turin this month, former Premier League star Darren Bent isn’t surprised Everton are now being linked with players of Rabiot’s quality since Ancelotti’s appointment.

As for Gomes’ return, the 26-year-old has began individual training as he looked to manage his comeback from an ankle dislocation fracture.
Gomes suffered the injury against Tottenham in November but Ancelotti is hopeful the playmaker will return soon.
“Andre Gomes can come back next week and start to train individually here,” Ancelotti said last week.
“It is good news. He is doing well in his recovery.
“It is going fast, so I hope as soon as possible he can be with us, because he's a fantastic player.”

Ancelotti was also handed a boost in pursuit of another transfer window target with the news Roma are prepared to sell winger Cengiz Under.
According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side are willing to sell the 22-year-old but will only consider offers of at least £43m (€50m).
Everton are considering offering Under an exit from the Stadio Olimpico but they may have to wait until the summer to sign the Turkey international, who has scored one goal from 12 appearances for Roma this season.
