Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho's stance on midfield transfer after Moussa Sissoko injury
Tottenham star Moussa Sissoko is set to be out until April with a knee injury.
Tottenham have to 'dip into transfer market' says Darren Bent
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho reportedly doesn’t have any plans to sign a replacement for Moussa Sissoko this month despite the midfielder being out of action until January with a knee injury. The futures of Victor Wanyama and Christian Eriksen are in doubt, leading many to think Mourinho would look at securing a midfielder during the transfer window.
Both Wanyama and Eriksen have been linked with moves away this month with Wanyama having played just nine minutes in 12 matches under Mourinho.
Eriksen is out of contract in the summer and looking for a buyer so he doesn’t leave Tottenham on a free is believed to be a priority.
And, according to the Evening Standard, it means Mourinho is focused on outgoings rather than incomings this month.
It’s reported that Mourinho is conscious of having a bloated squad and would prefer to target a centre forward.

That comes with star Harry Kane also set to spend some time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The England captain suffered a tear in his muscle during the defeat to Southampton on New Year’s Day.
Mourinho recently admitted he now faces issues when it comes to his striking options given the severity of Kane’s injury though Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min are available to the Spurs boss.

"I think it is better for the medical department to speak about it or make an official report. The only thing that I can add is that the feelings I had that it was not a small injury were correct.
"In this moment it is not going to be, 'Harry, Harry, Harry, Harry’.
“We have what we have and we stick with them. The boys did what they can, you cannot transform Lucas or Son into a number nine like Harry Kane.
"So we have to try other things and that is what we are going to do.
“Harry is out, obviously every minute he doesn't play means a lot to us, it is a big loss for us but we have to accept it and we have to fight with the boys that are available."
