Tottenham vs Chelsea: ‘Mourinho got it wrong’ says O'Hara
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho got his team selection wrong for the visit of London rivals Chelsea on Sunday, says former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara. Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-0 after a first-half brace from Willian. O’Hara believes Mourinho was wrong to start Eric Dier in the Spurs midfield.
O’Hara instead believes Harry Winks should have started in place of England team-mate Dier.
The pundit says Tottenham’s attacking players such as Harry Kane and Dele Alli would have benefited from Winks’ inclusion in the team more than they did from Dier’s.
“I think Mourinho got it wrong, team-wise I think he got it wrong,” O’Hara said on talkSPORT.
“Tactically you can say yeah, they were second to everything, they were lacklustre, but that also comes down to your team selection.

After the match Mourinho admitted Chelsea were the better side.
However, he says both of Willian’s goals were purely down to individual mistakes from his team.
“They were better than us in the first half. It’s not difficult for me to admit it,” Mourinho said.
“They played a system where they are very comfortable, a system they played for two years with Antonio Conte, a system where lots of their players are very comfortable, and they created problems for us in the first half - not problems of scoring situations but problems with the control they had.

“It’s easy for me to admit they were superior but then you look at the goals and they are not a consequence of any superiority.
“We concede through a short corner and a penalty. So, the goals didn’t come from that superiority. The goals come from mistakes.”
