Erling Haaland would ‘fit in perfectly’ at United says expert
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskajer has made it a priority to sign an attacking player in the January transfer window and the Red Devils are confident they can outbid teams for transfer target Erling Haaland but the club are still concerned they might miss out.
According to The Mirror, United are worried about the relationship between Salzburg and Leipzig, with Red Bull owning both teams.
The report claims United feel it will be hard to prevent a deal between the two clubs, as they think ownership and the sponsorship connection will be a significant factor in a potential transfer.
Haaland is one of the most sought after strikers in Europe after his fantastic start to this season.
The 19-year-old, who is the son of former Manchester City and Leeds United player Alf-Inge Haaland, has so far scored 28 goals in just 22 appearances for RB Salzburg this season.

The young striker is being monitored by lots teams and scouts from 40 different European clubs watched him in action against Liverpool in the Champions League last week.
It is believed RB Salzburg would be willing to sell Halaand in January now they are out of the Champions League.
It had been initially reported that they were seeking a fee of around £85m for the striker but it has been also been reported that the player has a £20m release clause in his contract.

If this is indeed the case, then many clubs will be able to afford to compete for his signature in January.
However, in a bid to convince Haaland to make the switch to Old Trafford, Solskjaer has already flown out to Austria to meet the striker in a bid to see off the competition.
And speaking about United’s transfer plans after the 4-0 win over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, Solskjaer said: "Targets that we're looking at, they're long-term targets.
"If there's something popping up that might be as a short-term, maybe. But we're always thinking long term.
