But Football Insider claim that Mikel Arteta is a top contender for the role.
Arteta is currently Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City and has also been linked with a return to Arsenal.
The Gunners could also make a managerial change with Unai Emery struggling to pick up consistent results at the Emirates.
City boss Guardiola knows that Arteta has it in him to become a top manager one day.
“For sure he will be a manager,” Guardiola said of Arteta. “I would like him to stay with us as long as possible. But personal life is personal life, his professional desire is professional.”

Though Silva is confident he can get Everton back on track.
"I believe I can," he said when asked if he thinks he can win back the fans.
"I believe in the work and our players and I believe in our fans as well. It is a normal reaction from the fans.
“I am here to do my best every day, to get the right result, and of course if you get the right results then you can repair things.
“This is the main thing about football, it is everything about results, and when we don't achieve, normally they look for the person at the top and that is the manager.”
