Eriksen has seen his minutes slightly reduced for Tottenham this season - partly due to injury - as it seemed he would be phased out of the team before leaving.
However, he has now worked his way back into the first-team, and has started four of Spurs’ last five Premier League games.
And Pochettino was full of praise for the 27-year-old despite his uncertain future.
“I don’t think the performance of Christian is any different than when we signed him five and a half years ago,” the Spurs boss said.

“His commitment is the same as five year ago, and I am happy with him.
“Sometimes we look too much at whether players have a four or a five year contract.
“[We] Look too much about whether a player has a one year contract or a four year contract, in the end it is about commitment.
“Maybe players in the last year of their contract show more commitment than a player with four more years on their contract.
