Man Utd and Liverpool salaries compared: Where do Pogba, Salah, Rashford, Van Dijk rank?
Manchester United host Liverpool in the Premier League today but how do their squads' salaries compare?
Liverpool: Klopp gives predictions on David de Gea and Pogba
Manchester United are struggling for form this season despite having the highest wage bill in the Premier League.
The club released their latest financial results earlier this month with £332million being spent on player salaries.
David de Gea is the club’s current top earner on £375,000 per week after the goalkeeper agreed to a new four-year deal last month.
He said at the time: "The opportunity to continue my career at Manchester United is a genuine honour. Since I arrived here, I could never have imagined I would play over 350 games for this club.
"I still feel I have so much more to achieve at the club and I truly believe that Manchester United can build on the club's tradition of success and reward our fans for their support. I am committed to continue repaying the fans for all of the care that they've shown me during the good times and the bad."
Alexis Sanchez reportedly took home £400,000-a-week with United but some of his wages are now being by Inter Milan, where he is spending the season on loan.
As many would expect, United’s World Cup-winning midfielder Paul Pogba is also high up on the wage bill at £290,000 per week.
Liverpool’s top earners take home significantly less than United’s squad.
Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah is the highest-paid player at Anfield with a weekly wage of £200,000, just over half of what De Gea makes.
Just behind Salah are Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk, who both pocket £180,000-a-week.
