Every Liverpool signing under Jurgen Klopp rated and slated - there's only three flops
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp took over at Anfield four years ago today.
Liverpool: Salah has similarities to Lionel Messi says Wenger
If you'd said to Liverpool fans that they'd have to wait four years to win a trophy under Jurgen Klopp, they would have no doubt rolled their eyes.
But if you'd said that it would have been the Champions League crown, coming after a season where they amassed 97 points from 38 Premier League matches, then their reactions would no doubt have been different.
October 8 marks four years since Klopp waltzed in the door at Anfield to replace Brendan Rodgers and, in the time since, he's turned Liverpool into arguably the best team in world football.
We now take a look at all of the signings directly for the first team he's made throughout his time on Merseyside and deliver our verdicts.
Marco Grujic - Miss
The Liverpool star has talent but he's spent most of his time away from Anfield and doesn't appear to be in the club's long-term plans.
Joel Matip - Hit
Josel Matip touched down on a free transfer and, particularly this season, has been good for Liverpool.
Loris Karius - Miss
Signed to be Liverpool's No 1, the German struggled and infamously cost them the 2018 Champions League final. Appears to have no future.
Sadio Mane - Hit
The Liverpool star is now one of the world's best players and has been driving their Premier League title quest.
Ragnar Klavan - Miss
Filled a void at times but the defender was never good enough to be a Liverpool starter.
Georginio Wijnaldum - Hit
The Liverpool midfielder has lived up to expectations since joining from Newcastle back in the summer of 2016.
Mohamed Salah - Hit
Liverpool's answer to Lionel Messi. Enough said.
Andy Robertson - Hit
Andy Robertson may just be one of football's best bargain buys, becoming one of the world's best full-backs since arriving from Hull for just £8million.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Hit
The Liverpool midfielder missed most of last season through injury but, prior to that, was producing the best football of his career.
Virgil van Dijk - Hit
At £75million, he had big pressure on his shoulders when he joined in January 2018. But he's flourished and is arguably the best centre-back on the planet.
Adrian shows off his skills and talents during training
Naby Keita - Jury's Out
The Liverpool star has shown only glimpses of his best form but there's a player in there somewhere and he has fan backing.
Alisson Becker - Hit
After Loris Karius, anybody would be an upgrade. Alisson Becker has outdone expectations, though, and fared far better than his predecessor.
Fabinho - Hit
Initially struggled at Liverpool but is now a key player for the Reds.
Xherdan Shaqiri - Hit
Two goals against Manchester United in December make him worth the investment alone and he's a good squad player to have.
Adrian - Hit
Won Liverpool a trophy already and fared well since Alisson Becker's injury.
