The best and worst case Champions League draw scenarios for Man City boss Pep Guardiola
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was brought to the club to win the Champions League, so what will he be hoping for in today’s Champions League draw?
Shakhtar Donetsk (P2), Dinamo Zagreb (P3), Genk (P4)
Shakhtar Donetsk
Man City wouldn’t mind a reunion with Shakhtar Donetsk.
They thumped the Ukrainians 6-0 and 3-0 in last season’s group stages.
Dinamo Zagreb
It maybe harsh on the Croatian champions, but they are the team that everybody is hoping for from pot three.
There are some very capable teams including Inter Milan and Lyon in the mix, so Dinamo would definitely be welcome.
Genk
While the Belgian side clearly have something about them to make it into the competition, they would perhaps be starstruck to take on Manchester City.
With the right attitude, it would surely be six points in the bag.

Worst
Real Madrid (P2), Inter Milan (P3), RB Leipzig (P4)
Real Madrid
In some ways, City fans would love to seek revenge on Real Madrid for defeat in the 2016 Champions League semi-finals.
But realistically, Zinedine Zidane’s men are the toughest opponent in pot two. They will want to avoid them.
Inter Milan
There is belief in Italy that Inter could challenge Juventus for the Serie A title this season.
That’s because Antonio Conte is now in charge and he is looking to implement three at the back, which won him the Premier League in his first season with Chelsea.
RB Leipzig
The Bundesliga club are now more experienced having played in last season’s competition.
They have plenty of quality in their ranks including Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg, who can cause plenty of problems.
