According to The Mirror, Matic demanded showdown talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his future at the club.
The midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the season, but United have the option to extend it for another year.
Matic is reportedly concerned that Solskjaer has no plans to include him going forward, and is exploring options away from Old Trafford.
But speaking on ESPN FC, Moreno explained that United have to be careful if they are to let Matic leave.

The pundit believes that the Premier League outfit needs to keep the 31-year-old due to their lack of options in midfield.
“Maybe so [Matic will leave], but Manchester United have to be careful,” he said.
“They’re not very deep to begin with, and you can’t just have people walking out of that locker room who could help you.
“And, certainly, if he leaves this late, Manchester United cannot do anything to bring somebody in.

Other than Pogba and McTominay, Matic and Fred are United’s only real options in the centre of midfield.
Fred has also been tipped to leave the club, after Fiorentina saw a bid turned down earlier this week.
