Forster initially proved a real hit on the south coast before a number of contributing factors saw him lose his place in the starting eleven.
He will now return north of the border to Glasgow where he won three Scottish Premiership titles.
There’s hope that Celtic can help him get his career back on track and enjoying his football again.
Forster has won six caps for England and travelled to the 2014 World Cup as part of Roy Hodgson’s squad. He did not feature in Brazil.

Celtic boss Lennon has admitted that he does not know how much cash the club have at their disposal to spend on transfers.
“I can’t comment on that, I’m not aware of how much money there is but Peter does what’s best for the club and he always has done, maybe to the detriment of himself sometimes,” he said ahead of the Europa League qualifier with AIK.
“I know he puts the club first and the future of the club, at all times.”
The Northern Irishman was then asked whether he is being backed by the board despite the club’s disappointing exit from the Champions League against Cluj last week.

“Of course. We are working to bring in three or four players in before the window shuts,” he added.
“Again, we are over-analysing the recruitment side of things.
“Some of it has worked, some of it hasn’t worked and that happens in football.”
