Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp gives update on future of Ryan Kent
Now the 22-year-old is waiting patiently for the chance to re-join Rangers, but there is every chance he could spend the upcoming campaign with Liverpool Under-23s.
That’s all because his move to Leeds collapsed, for reasons beyond the player’s control.
According to The Athletic, Marcelo Bielsa was fixated on signing Kent on a permanent basis before a last minute change of plans.
Leeds were prepared to accept Anderlecht’s offer of £6.5million for Kemar Roofe and put the fee towards bringing Kent to Elland Road.
That’s when Arsenal gatecrashed proceedings by deciding to make Nketiah available on loan, offering him to Leeds.
After the exit of Roofe, Bielsa felt as though the young striker was better suited to their needs. That virtually spelled the end for their hopes of landing Kent.
Meanwhile, he was frozen out of the Liverpool first team set-up by Jurgen Klopp and told he was free to find a new club.
Now the star is working hard at Melwood, hoping that Rangers will save him from isolation for the new campaign.

Liverpool do not want to loan the winger again after already sending him for spells with Coventry, Barnsley, Freiburg, Bristol City and of course, Rangers.
Last month, Steven Gerrard claimed the ‘Gers had been priced out of the running.
“I haven’t asked that question [to the board] but I think the answer would probably be yes,” the former England international revealed.
“Jurgen has come out and given the answer that will come out of my mouth anyway. It has been addressed and we move on.
