“I’m looking forward to playing with him because he’s a really great player.”
Aubameyang also admitted to having watched Pepe keenly before, before conceding that he was happy to play in a different position to accommodate the former Nice player.
“I have watched him and I know how he plays. We have tried to connect with him in training. For the moment it is going very good,” he added.
“We are happy because we know he can help us reach our goals, so it is another weapon for us and that is very good.
“When I play as the striker I am happy but if the team needs help and I play wide, then I will do it.”

As well as Aubameyang, Pepe will be competing with fellow team-mates Alexandre Lacazette, Henrik Mkhitaryan, Reiss Nelson and Mesut Ozil.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker is unsure of how Emery will be able to fit so many attacking players in the starting line-up, but noted he was looking forward to playing alongside Pepe sooner rather than later.
“Everybody is excited about [us playing together]. We will have time to play together and we will see. I am looking forward to it," Aubameyang added.
“The next game we play at home and we will see what is the coach’s decision. It will be difficult for him to fit us all in but that’s the game.

“When you have a good team it is like that and you have to make choices.”
Arsenal enjoyed a fruitful summer window, signing David Luiz from Chelsea and Kieran Tierney from Celtic on Deadline Day.
They also secured a loan deal for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos, who featured in the second half of Arsenal’s victory over Newcastle, as well as buying youngsters Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba.
