Liverpool: Fan slide tackles Adrian after penalty shootout win
Liverpool looked on course for a comfortable 2-0 win over Southampton following goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
The Saints were piling on the pressure to find a way back in the game in the closing stages.
And former Liverpool ace Danny Ings eventually cut the deficit, but he had Adrian to thank for finding the net.
Virgil van Dijk played a pass back to Adrian and the Spaniard didn’t look under any pressure.

Yet as Ings rushed in on the Spaniard, he gifted the ball to the Southampton star’s feet, who reacted quickly to adjust his feet and pass into the empty net.
Ultimately, it had no bearing on the result of the game to the delight of Klopp, who was able to joke about the incident at the expense of his injured first-choice keeper Alisson.
“Second half we made another big step, controlled the game better, did a lot of good things,” he said.
“Then minute 83 showed up on the screen and Adrian thought ‘I played really well, so maybe like Ali did [against Leicester last season] maybe I have to make the same mistake’, and kept the game open.

“The boys then went ‘really? We have to go again?’.”
Alisson made a similar mistake last year when he was caught in possession trying to dribble out from the back in a game against Leicester.
The Brazilian also fumbled what seemed to be a simple ball into the box in a pre-season friendly against Lyon last month before giving away a penalty.
Adrian is expected to hold his position between the sticks at least until the international break while Alisson recovers from injury.
