Arsenal player wages: Nicolas Pepe salary revealed as transfer close, Dani Ceballos shock
NICOLAS PEPE is reportedly closing in on a move to Arsenal, but how much will the French winger earn at the Emirates?
Arsenal: Unai Emery gives Nicolas Pepe transfer update
Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to buy the Lille winger, with Pepe in line to become the Gunners’ record signing.
Italian reporter Nicolo Schira claims the transfer has been completed, quoting an €80million fee.
Pepe will supposedly sign a deal keeping him at the club until 2024, with the Lille ace expected to earn €6m-a-year at the Emirates.
This equates to around £105,000-a-week, which would make the 24-year-old the sixth best-paid player at the club.
Pepe has been attracting attention from around Europe all summer, but the Ivorian has delayed a decision on his future due to being on holiday.
Arsenal had initially identified Wilfried Zaha as their priority attacking target, but pulled out of a deal after it became too complicated.
However, they haven’t been idle in the transfer market with Dani Ceballos joining from Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season.
The Spaniard is believed to be on just £60,000—a-week, surprisingly putting him just ahead of fringe player Mohamed Elneny in the wage structure.
