Man United: Bruno Fernandes is a ‘complicated deal’ says pundit
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Fernandes this summer, with the Sporting Lisbon star also attracting interest from Liverpool and Tottenham.
The Portugal international scored over 30 goals for his side last year and also helped his country beat Switzerland and Holland to win the Nations League.
Manchester United are determined to bolster their squad in the wake of a nightmare Premier League campaign.
And they’re currently short of players in midfield following the recent exits of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini.
The Manchester Evening News, though, have claimed sources in Portugal doubt United will move for Fernandes.
And that’s because of Paul Pogba.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, last week confirmed his client wanted to leave Old Trafford amid interest from La Liga and Serie A giants Real Madrid and Juventus.
“Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are,” he said.
"Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes."
