Man Utd stars think two negative things about Paul Pogba as Real Madrid eye transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED players reportedly have doubts over both Paul Pogba’s desire and ability as Real Madrid eye a deal this transfer window.
Man United: Pogba and Lingard appear to CLASH during tour
Manchester United star Pogba wants to join either Real Madrid or Juventus this transfer window, just there years after returning to Old Trafford in a £89million deal.
The France international hinted at a move away last month, saying: "There is a lot of thinking [going on].
“I have been three years in Manchester and have been doing great – some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody, like everywhere else.
“After this season and everything that happened, with my season being my best season … it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
His agent, Mino Raiola, has since added: “Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.
"Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes."
And ESPN claim Pogba is not universally popular among his United team-mates.
The report claims that some doubt whether the France international has the hunger to help haul the Red Devils up the Premier League table.
And others have also questioned his ability and whether he’s good enough to do it in the first place.
Pogba is understood to be an influential figure behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
But that influence appears to be waning at a time where he is desperate to leave Old Trafford behind.
Despite Juventus being keen on a deal, the World Cup winner’s preference is understood to be a move to Real Madrid.
Back in March, he talked up Zinedine Zidane and admitted a move to the Bernabeu would be a dream.
Meanwhile, Pogba has also been videoed in a bust-up with United team-mate Jesse Lingard.
The duo have been close for years, growing up together as part of the Red Devils’ academy.
But a clip uploaded by the Red Devils’ official Twitter account appeared to show them at loggerheads on Monday night.
United are currently in Australia for their pre-season tour ahead of the new Premier League season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side open their campaign against Chelsea on August 11 at Old Trafford.
