Man United: De Ligt signing ‘up in the air’ says pundit
Manchester United are trying to steal De Ligt from under the noses of Barcelona, who have long aimed to seal a deal for the 19-year-old.
The Catalan giants have been pushing to sign the Ajax star ever since the turn of the year, despite having the likes of Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet on their books.
In the last week, however, reports have suggested that Manchester United are going all out to try and bring the Ajax star to Old Trafford instead.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seeking an upgrade on the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo.

The Catalan giants have spent big on deals in recent times.
Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele have cost the club over £300million combined, touching down from Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in the past two years.
And they may have to sell to buy if they are to win the race for the player.
Meanwhile, ESPN pundit Steve Nicol believes United’s financial might see them end up winning the De Ligt transfer race.
“This depends on De Ligt, whether he’s interested in the money or not,” he said.
