Outlander’s Brianna star shares tragic hint Jemmy could be lost forever ‘Rest of her life’

The first half of Outlander's seventh season ended on a shocking twist for Brianna and Roger, but will they be able to reunite their family when the drama returns this November?

Outlander star Sophie Skelton has shared an ominous hint toward the outcome of the Starz show’s seventh season.

The hit historical drama wrapped up the first half of the latest instalment last August, leaving fans on tenterhooks for over a year before they discover what happens next.

When part two picks up this November, Sophie’s character Brianna and her husband Roger MacKenzie (played by Richard Rankin) will be devastated after the loss of their son Jemmy (Blake Johnston Miller).

While he’s not dead, he’s all but lost to the couple after seemingly being taken back in time by Brianna’s colleague Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton).

After making the huge sacrifice to leave Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) in the past, Roger and his ancestor William Buccleigh MacKenzie (Graham McTavish) head back through the stones.

This leaves Brianna with her daughter Mandy in present day, praying the time-travellers will be able to track Rob down.

However, recent comments from Sophie herself suggest the MacKenzies may never recover their lost son.

“All of these things that could be going on, I think Brianna’s mind’s just at 100,” she said in a series of interviews with Starz.

“And she doesn’t know what she’s left with.

“She’s kind of had this huge family and now it’s just her and Mandy. And that might be the rest of her life.

“It’s heartbreaking, but we’ll see what happens.”

Brianna is definitely concerned that was the last she’s seen of her husband, let alone their son, as travelling through time is always incredibly risky.

Hopefully, this will be resolved in the next set of eight episodes, but fans have already been warned the last chapters of Outlander will have them reaching for the tissues.

Speaking to Square Mile, Sophie’s co-star Richard recently admitted: “It was a very emotional read-through.

“We had photos up from all the past seasons of the show.

“You can feel the nostalgia and what it meant to people. There were a lot of tears in the room that day.”

Outlander season 7, part 2 premieres Friday, November 22 on Starz.
