Man Utd past suggests they may spring Matthijs de Ligt or Antoine Griezmann surprise
MANCHESTER UNITED could be about to spring a major transfer surprise involving either Matthijs de Ligt or Antoine Griezmann this summer - if history is anything to go by.

Manchester United are again being linked with moves for De Ligt and Griezmann, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s insistence that the club will not be pursuing superstars this summer.
As far back as February, the 46-year-old was adamant that Galacticos were not the route to go down.
"It is about who we've got here as well. If every single player can improve by one or two per cent,” he said at a time where United were flying.
“It is not (about) buying a superstar that will fix things and we go from challenging (for) the top four to being champions."
Solskjaer is a honest man. The United boss would not mislead fans, or trick them into a full sense of security.
And his Galactico policy is understandable. This is the club who broke the British transfer record for Angel Di Maria - only to see him leave after a year.
Bastian Schweinsteiger, the serial-winner, touched down from Bayern Munich. Then did precious little.
United saw Radamel Falcao, widely regarded as one of the best strikers in world football at the time, struggle under the weight of expectation.
And Alexis Sanchez has been the latest big-name disappointment. Six goals in 18 months is awful - regardless of what he earns.
Yet despite Solskjaer’s words, and United’s eagerness to look to the future, there are some strange murmurings coming out of the club.
