Champions League: Mo Salah and Dejan Lovren turn hair RED
Liverpool won their sixth European crown by beating Tottenham 2-0 just a year after they lost to Real Madrid 3-1 in the final thanks in part to two glaring errors from keeper Karius.
He played no part in this season’s campaign as he was sent on loan to Besiktas shortly after his horror show on football’s biggest stage.
However, he was quick to congratulate the side and fans thanked him for his public show of support.
“Congrats, @LFC,” he said on Twitter. “Really happy for everyone at the club and fans. You deserved this.”
Supporters replied in their droves with almost exclusively positive comments.
“Yes loris lad wish u all the best,” one said.
Another agreed: “Tonight was for you too, Loris.”
A third added: “Class from you Karius! Remember, You’ll Never Walk Alone!!!!”

“Love you Loris,” another simply put.
Karius is not due back at the club until 2020 but will almost certainly be sold or sent out on loan again.
Brazilian stopper Alisson came in from Roma last summer to replace him and was arguably Liverpool's best player in this year’s final as he made eight saves in Madrid.
It was an emotional night for him as he was pictured calling his heavily pregnant wife amid the celebrations after the final whistle.

In a stunning first season in England, Alisson won the Premier League’s Golden Glove after keeping an impressive 21 clean sheets as Liverpool agonisingly missed out on the title despite amassing 97 points.
He has kept No 2 Simon Mignolet out of the sidebar the Belgian hailed his display in the final.
Mignolet wrote on Twitter: “Another HUGE performance between the posts #YNWA #TEAM #ChampionsOfEurope #SixTimes”
