Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus star issued private ORDER after Massimiliano Allegri exit
CRISTIANO RONALDO ordered Juventus stars to pay tribute on the pitch for Massimiliano Allegri’s final home game in charge, according to reports.
Ronaldo: ‘Better player’ at Juventus than Real Madrid says pundit
Cristiano Ronaldo was signed by Juventus boss Allegri from Real Madrid a year ago but, after just one season together, the Italian is leaving the Serie A giants behind.
Yesterday, the Turin outfit announced their manager would be leaving at the end of the campaign in a short statement published on their official website.
"Massimiliano Allegri will not sit on the bench of Juventus in the next season 2019/2020,” it read.
"The coach and the President, Andrea Agnelli, will meet the media together at the press conference, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday 18th May, at 2pm in the conference hall of the Allianz Stadium."
Juventus face off against Atalanta tomorrow (7.30pm).
And Sport Mediaset claim Ronaldo issued a rallying cry to players in the dressing room after Allegri’s exit was announced.
The Juventus manager cried in the changing room as he told stars of his decision to leave the club.
And Ronaldo reportedly said: “On Sunday, we play for him.”
Allegri was not the only Juventus figure in tears, with defender Andrea Barzagli devastated too.
Like his manager, the Italy international will leave the club at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Allegri has praised his time at Juventus - but refused to open up on where he will go next.
"The name of the next coach? That I don't know, someone needs to be on the bench, but I don't know who," he told Italian TV programme Striscia La Notizia.
"In any case they will choose a great coach because Juve is a great club.
"They were five marvellous years - five years is a lot for me.
"Six months to build a team and then leave like this? What do you mean six months? Five years to build Juventus .
"Life is like this, things come and go.”
Express Sport understands Juventus could go for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino following Allegri’s exit announcement.
Pep Guardiola, though, has ruled himself out of the running.
