Liverpool vs Barcelona: Ferdinand praises Messi ahead of clash
Suarez got his name on the scoresheet in the 26th minute of the Nou Camp showdown after drifting in unseen between Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk.
The former Liverpool striker deftly connected with a superb Jordi Alba cross from the left wing to turn the ball past Alisson from within the six-yard box.
Luis Suarez immediately got back to his feet having slid in to score and he didn't hold back in celebrating netting against his old side.
The Uruguayan immediately wheeled away behind the goal with his arms outstretched either side of him before sliding in towards the corner on his knees.
Suarez then got back up and pumped the air before looking high into the Nou Camp stands and pointing to the sky above.
Sergi Roberto was the first Barcelona team-mate to reach the celebrating Suarez, with a host of co-stars soon joining them.
Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi and fellow South American Arturo Vidal congratulated Suarez on getting Barcelona's noses in front.
Central defensive pairing Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet then made their way up from the back to get in on the action.

Suarez left Liverpool for Barcelona in the summer of 2014 having enjoyed a stellar three-and-a-half year stint at Anfield.
He had revealed to Express Sport pre-match that he fully intended to celebrate if he scored against Liverpool.
"Liverpool will always be important for me - for giving me an opportunity, for playing a big part in my development, and of course for the amazing fans," Suarez said.
"But this is a Champions League semi-final and all that will matter is helping Barcelona fight to get one step closer to another trophy."
Suarez does, though, believe Liverpool will be in the mix for silverware going forward even if this season ends trophy less.
