Arsene Wenger on Man Utd's transfer battle
Wenger says success comes in cycles and some poor signings in recent years have not helped the Red Devils in their search for silverware.
The Frenchman admits United have the money to bring in the calibre of player they need to revamp their squad.
However, he has warned Solskjaer there may not be many targets available, with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, if they get their transfer ban suspended, also looking to rebuild.
“The players [United have] bought have not all been successful,” Wenger said on beIN SPORTS.

“It’s not easy to keep continued success. It’s going in cycles, up and down.
“They’ve spent a lot of money, they still have a lot of money.
“So they have of course a big job to do.
“What will be interesting in the summer for me is that you have many big clubs who will be out to buy players.

“And I think there will be more money than good players on the market.
“So it will not be easy to get it right.
“You will have Real Madrid out there, you will have Bayern Munich out there, you’ll have Paris Saint-Germain out there, you’ll have Man United out there, you’ll certainly have Arsenal out there and Chelsea out there on the market.
“So there’s more money than good players and that will be the big problem for all the big clubs.”
