Graeme Souness tells Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the one Manchester United star he must NOT sell
MANCHESTER UNITED must keep hold of Romelu Lukaku - because strikers like him are hard to find.
Man United: Transfer window 'won't turn ship around' says pundit
That is according to Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness.
Lukaku has been linked with a move away from Manchester United after a frustrating few months.
The Belgian has not always been in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI, with Marcus Rashford often preferred in a central role under the Norwegian.
Lukaku revealed last week he has a desire to play in Serie A at some point in his playing career.
We all agree Lukaku is a real player. I wouldn’t be selling him here
Souness says the former Everton man must work on his fitness if the club are not satisfied with the level he is at.
However, he still believes Lukaku is a valuable asset and is worth keeping hold of.
“He’s a handful,” Souness said.
“If you lined up every centre-half in the Premier League and say ‘who would you not enjoy playing against?’, he’d arguably be first pick.
“Okay, you’ve got different types of players like say Liverpool have, with [Mohamed] Salah, [Sadio] Mane, little quick types.
“But he’ll bully you, he’ll get in a race with you, he can outmuscle you. He’s a beast of a man.
“Whether he’s lifting too many weights and he looks bulky or whether he is carrying some weight, that’s for the medical staff and the boy ultimately to sort out himself.
“But there’s a player in there, he’s a handful.
