Guardiola takes his side to take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday (2.05pm).
Manchester City have dropped points in two of their last three visits to the Clarets - a statistic which will give Liverpool fans hope.
Last season the champions were held to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.
Danilo opened the scoring for City but Johann Berg Gudmundsson equalised late on to give Sean Dyche’s side a share of the points.

The season before Burnley lost 2-1 to the Sky Blues but again it was a close contest with Sergio Aguero proving the difference.
And in 2015 Dyche’s side grabbed all three points against City.
George Boyd was the man to score the winner on that occasion as Burnley shocked their opponents.
Liverpool will of course hope United can do the job tonight but it would seem they do have reason to be optimistic even if Guardiola’s side win.
