Liverpool fans in MELTDOWN after Everton dominate Man Utd - 'Absolutely s***e'
LIVERPOOL fans were left furious after Manchester United’s lacklustre first-half performance against Everton.
Man United’s performance against Everton slammed by pundits
Liverpool are desperate for United to beat Manchester City when the two cross-city rivals face each other on Wednesday night.
Anything other than a United win would put City firmly in the box-seat for the Premier League title.
However, they showed few signs that they can compete with the best sides in the division as they were torn apart by a rampant Everton in the opening 45 minutes at Goodison Park.
Richarlison got Marco Silva’s side off the mark on 13 minutes as he acrobatically turned in Lucas Digne’s long throw.
Gylfi Sigurdsson doubled the lead 15 minutes later with a spectacular long-range drive that flew past David de Gea and into the bottom corner.
And Liverpool supporters and other interested neutrals took to Twitter to vent their anger at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team in their droves.
“I’m worried about Man Utd’s top 4 hopes,” one said.
“Losing today and the fans have apparently decided they are happy to write off the game against Man City rather than help Liverpool."
Another added: “The one time in my life that I have or will ever want Man Utd to show a bit of form and they are absolute nonsense.
“I’m as much a fan of Ole as the next Liverpool fan, but come Weds, at least look like you know what you're doing. That'll be a start.”
Another agreed: “Man Utd have no chance of getting a win/draw against Man City, which would help Liverpool.
“This United team are absolutely s***e full stop. Crap players, crap manager, don’t have a clue about buying players.
“I’m more hopeful Burnley gets something against City.”
A neutral observed: “Any Liverpool fan who thinks Man Utd will beat Man City for Liverpool to win the league must be dreaming.”
Another Liverpool fan said: “Need Man Utd to beat City for Liverpool to win the league, and they can’t even beat Everton.”
Things got worse for those concerned Liverpool supporters and it became humiliating United as Digne added a third on 56 minutes before Theo Walcott made it 4-0 in the 64th minute after coming off the bench.
