Man Utd vs Barcelona: Pundits blast David de Gea for goalie error
Manchester United were put to the sword by a ruthless Barcelona team on Tuesday, with the Red Devils losing 3-0 at the Nou Camp.
It was a chastening night for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players, with the result another sobering reality check. For the third time in four Champions League matches, they were outplayed by superior opposition.
How it could have been different, though, had it not been for a huge mistake made by Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
De Gea made a big error in Catalonia, allowing a tame Lionel Messi shot to squirm under his body and into the net.

Man United: Solskjaer admits there’s ‘work to be done’
Van Gaal thought De Gea’s head was not in the game. The United star was seen as distracted in training and errors in pre-season only justified the thought process.
Fast-forward to now, and the same transfer saga looks like to take place again.
De Gea is yet to sign a new contract at United, with his current deal expiring in 2020. With no renewal in the offing, talk of a move away is gathering pace.
Solskjaer, now, may need to take action.
De Gea’s mistake against Barcelona was just the latest in a series of errors he has made throughout the course of the season.
