Man Utd squad revealed to face Barcelona: Herrera NOT spotted, Rashford pictured
MANCHESTER UNITED take on Barcelona in the Champions League tonight and their squad has been revealed for the mega clash.
Man United: Solskjaer gives update on team injuries
But Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic were not spotted with the rest of the team for the crunch game.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are the underdogs for the showdown at Old Trafford but fans will hope for another miracle performance against Lionel Messi and co.
Manchester Evening News photographers did not picture Herrera or Matic meaning the Red Devils could be light in midfield this evening.
Academy starlet James Garner is in the squad but it would seem unlikely the 18-year-old will start for Solskjaer.
One boost for Manchester United fans is that Marcus Rashford is included.
The England international has been struggling with an ankle injury.
Solskjaer gave an update on his squad yesterday ahead of the showdown with Barcelona.
“We still hope maybe that Nemanja (Matic) can be ready,” he said.
Man Utd vs Barcelona: Champions League match preview
“Ander (Herrera) probably out, but Eric (Bailly) and Antonio (Valencia) definitely out.
“Marcus (Rashford) needed the extra warm-up and hopefully he won't get a reaction, he joined parts of it at the end but he couldn't join the boxes, which is the fun part of training, but let's see tomorrow. Hopefully he'll be ready.
“Sanchez? First training session today with the team, he's done lots of recovery work and is injury-free.
“He'll step up and train with the team, probably in the squad for West Ham on Saturday and then let's see if he plays. But he's not going to be able to join in tomorrow.”
