Man United & Tottenham target Saul Niguez in action
Manchester United have long admired Saul, with the Red Devils' interest in the Atletico Madrid star dating back to Sir Alex Ferguson's time in charge.
Ferguson thought the Spain international had potential when he was on loan at Rayo Vallecano but, ultimately, was unable to bring the player to Old Trafford before his retirement in 2013.
Manchester United have remained linked in the time ever since, with David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho all emulating Ferguson by failing to land a transfer.
Yet Spanish newspaper AS claim that Atletico expect them to come knocking at the end of the season.

But whether Saul responds positively remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, back in the summer, La Liga expert Guillem Balague claimed that United had turned down the chance to sign Saul three years ago.
That was when Van Gaal was in charge.
And Balague said: “Saul, finally people have realised the talent that this man has,” Balague told BBC 5 Live Sport.
