Man Utd will SUFFER if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sanctions THIS summer transfer - Andy Townsend
MANCHESTER UNITED will suffer if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allows Paul Pogba to leave in the summer.
Man United: Pogba is 'not consistent enough' says pundit
That is the view of former Chelsea and Aston Villa midfielder Andy Townsend.
Pogba fuelled speculation over his Manchester United future during the recent international break.
The France star claimed it was a “dream” for any player to play for Real Madrid and under their French manager Zinedine Zidane.
Pogba did though confirm he remains happy at Old Trafford for the time being.
I hope he honours the fact that Solskjaer has come in and really made him feel a lot better
Townsend says United cannot afford to sell one of their best players in Pogba.
He believes Pogba owes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the impact the Norwegian has had on the midfielder since his arrival at the club in December.
And Townsend hopes the 26-year-old stays in England and builds on his fine recent form.
“It will be really interesting how the Pogba one plays out,” Townsend told Premier League Productions.
“I hope he stays, I hope he stays.
“I hope he honours the fact that Solskjaer has come in and really made him feel a lot better.
“He looks a lot more like the Paul Pogba we all love.
“So I hope he stays and becomes a big part of United in the future.
Man Utd: Solskjaer should let Pogba move to Madrid says Groves
“You don’t let your best players go.
“Any team that lets their best players go, they suffer.
“He is clearly one of their very best players.”
