Paul Pogba's agent could STEAL Milan Skriniar - Man City have already failed with bid
PAUL POGBA’S agent Mino Raiola could “mislead” Milan Skriniar from his current representatives, leading to a transfer away from Inter Milan.
That is the claim from Skriniar’s agent Mital Halis, who has revealed Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the defender.
Skriniar has enjoyed a stand-out season at Inter Milan this season.
He was chased by a number of clubs in the summer - including Pogba’s Manchester United - but remained at the San Siro.
Skriniar, 24, is expected to leave Italy in the summer when one of Europe’s biggest clubs move for him.
Manchester City came in with an offer of €55m
And his agent has revealed Raiola - one of the biggest agents in world football - could try to poach the player off the Star & Friends agency.
"Mino Raiola, who represents Ibrahimovic and Pogba, might try to mislead Skriniar,” he told AS.
“But the player is on the books at our company - we have a contract with him.”
Halis went on to explain how Manchester City failed with a bid for the defender in the January 2018 transfer window.
"Inter Milan paid Sampdoria €28m (£24m) for Skriniar and six months later, Manchester City came in with an offer of €55m (£46m),” he added.
“Now he is valued at around €100m (£87m).
“Any deal would certainly be complicated by the interference of intermediaries.”
Raiola was central to Pogba’s move from Juventus to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 - a deal that saw the agent pocket a slice of the £89m transfer fee, which at the time was a world record.
Raiola has also helped United sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in recent years.
And were the agent to somehow take up Skirinar as a client, it could spell bad news for Real Madrid.
That’s because Raiola does not have a good relationship with Real president Florentino Perez.
It supposedly stems from Raiola’s negotiations with the Bernabeu chief over Pogba back in 2016, when Real were striving to sign him from Juventus.
Raiola eventually got United on board and Juventus were happy to accept their deal as Real reportedly refused to cover the agent fees for the transfer.
