Chelsea star Eden Hazard reveals TWO reasons Blues drew vs Wolves - ‘The players are sad’
CHELSEA talisman Eden Hazard outlined the two reasons why the Blues were unable to beat Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea: Eden Hazard needs more movement says Sarri
Chelsea lost to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side at the Molineux earlier in the season and found themselves in a similarly treacherous position when Raul Jimenez opened the scoring in the 56th minute.
Maurizio Sarri’s men pushed forward after the goal and chased an equaliser, which they got in added time through Hazard.
The Belgian ace moved the ball onto his right peg and curled a whipped effort past Rui Patricio, who should have done better.
We didn't create a lot of chances and we moved the ball too slowly
The result leaves them three points off fourth-placed Arsenal with a game in hand, and, despite the late rally, melancholy drenched Stamford Bridge at full-time.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, goalscorer Hazard outlined the two reasons Chelsea failed to claim three points.
“Of course we are disappointed,” he began. “We didn't create a lot of chances and we moved the ball too slowly.
"This type of game, maybe three months ago we'd have lost.
"The spirit is good. When we lost 6-0 to Manchester City, we said there were three or four months left and we have to try and finish in the top four.
"The players are a bit sad because we probably could do better."
Hazard has been the west London club’s standout performer this season, leading the team in goals (13) and assists (11).
Former Leeds and Sunderland boss Simon Grayson was covering the game for BBC Radio 5 live and bemoaned the side as a whole, while highlighting the majesty of Hazard.
“Eden Hazard got them out of jail,” he said.
