Premier League table predicted: Super computer predicts LATEST final standings
THE PREMIER LEAGUE table for May has been predicted by a super computer. But where do Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and the rest of the chasing pack all finish?
The Premier League is approaching its crunch stages, with Liverpool currently leading Manchester City in the race for the title.
The Reds are one point clear of Pep Guardiola’s side after drawing 0-0 with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Tottenham remain in the hunt for glory, though Saturday’s surprise 2-1 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor has dented their quest for the prize.
Meanwhile, in the battle for fourth, Arsenal sit ahead of Manchester United by a single point with 11 games left to play.
Chelsea are three points behind the Gunners but, fortunately for them, have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, towards the bottom of the table, Huddersfield look destined for the drop.
The Terriers are 14 points adrift of safety, with Fulham closest to them.
Claudio Ranieri’s side are eight points behind Cardiff, with Southampton trailing Neil Warnock’s side by a single point.
But how will the season end?
A supercomputer from Football Web Pages has a savvy little algorithm that has helped them predict the final standings.
And the results make for interesting reading.
According to their prediction, Liverpool will pip City to the title by a point, racking up 99 in total.
City would then finish 16 points above third-placed Tottenham, who would end up on 82 points.
Manchester United will supposedly finish fourth, just a point ahead of Chelsea and two clear of Arsenal.
Wolves would secure European football via the Europa League.
And Watford, Leicester, West Ham, Everton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle, Burnley and Southampton are all set to stay in the league.
Cardiff will, according to the prediction, go down fighting with 28 points to their name.
Fulham will clock up 25.
And Huddersfield will supposedly be relegated with a shambolic 12 - just one clear of Derby’s terrible record set in the 2007/2008 campaign.
