Man Utd news: Solskjaer reveals the two reasons he plays Herrera after Chelsea FA Cup win
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the two reasons he plays Ander Herrera after Monday’s FA Cup win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Spain international has blown hot and cold ever since arriving from La Liga side Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2014.
Louis van Gaal, and then Jose Mourinho, would use him as a squad player rather than regular starter.
But, under Solskjaer, that has changed.
And the interim United manager has now revealed he picks Herrera because of the Spaniard’s energy and tenaciousness.
“His energy and tenaciousness is vital for us," Solskjaer said after the win.

"And that's why he plays, more or less, every single game.
"He has loads of energy, he can cover the right hand side, he runs forward.
“Tonight you can't just praise one, it's 11 players, plus the subs, but Ander has done fantastic."
Meanwhile, before the Chelsea showdown, former United star John O’Shea had urged his former club to tie Herrera down.
The Spaniard’s contract expires at the end of the season and, as thing stand, the midfielder is yet to sign an extension.
