It remains to be seen whether Coutinho will leave La Liga, however, United want to be first in line if the ex-Liverpool star chooses to do so.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been vocal on the club’s January transfer plans, with the United boss insisting he will have a chat with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over targets.
“The club’s probably had a plan,” Solskjaer said.

“I’m sure they’ve got plans for this transfer window.
