Man Utd news: How Pogba and Rashford could have huge say on Solskjaer future - big claim
MANCHESTER UNITED players could have a big say on whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer becomes the club’s permanent manager.
That is the opinion of former USA, Manchester United and Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard.
Solskjaer was brought in as United’s interim manager in December following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The former striker has led the Red Devils to four straight wins in the Premier League.
Solskjaer’s style of football has earned rave reviews from supporters and United are now just six points off Chelsea in fourth.
What I know about football and sports in general is that it’s wins and loss business
The Norwegian’s contract is up at the end of the season and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino remains favourite with the bookies to be Mourinho’s permanent successor.
But Howard says the United board cannot ignore Solskjaer if the team’s form continues in this vein.
And he reckons players such as Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford would be asked what they thought of Solskjaer’s suitability for the role.
“You always have to wonder, they bring Ole Gunnar in because he knows the system,” Howard told ESPN FC.
“He knows the club, he is a fabric of the DNA of that club.
“He’s won his first four Premier League games, what happens if they go on an unbelievable run until the end of the season? You’re not sacking him.
“But there’s still a long way to go, still a long way to go in the season.
“What I know about football and sports in general is that it’s wins and loss business.
“More importantly at Manchester United, the players are happy.
“If they ask Pogba and they ask Rashford and they ask all the big players ‘how has it been for the last six months?’ and they go ‘amazing, we love our football, we’re winning football matches’ don’t you think the board is going to say ‘hang on a second, we’ll give this guy a contract’.
“Of course they will.”
United are in FA Cup third round action on Saturday when they host Reading.
