Liverpool have gone top of the tree for Christmas, with Manchester City lagging behind – but which teams have improved or fallen most since this stage last season?
Manchester United sailed to a 5-1 victory over Cardiff at the weekend in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first game in charge, but overall they are enduring a very poor season.
They are the second-most disappointing team in the top flight, but one team is 20 points off the pace they set last year, while Liverpool continue to improve.
