Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho backed to make this big decision against Liverpool
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho will park the bus against rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
That is the opinion of former Liverpool, Manchester United and England striker Michael Owen.
United visit their bitter rivals looking to become the first team to beat them in the Premier League this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently top of the table, a point clear of second-placed Manchester City.
United are struggling down in sixth place, eight points off the top four and 16 adrift of Liverpool.
Manchester United will try and park the bus I guess, play very defensive
Owen reckons Jose Mourinho will go with a defensive approach on Sunday.
However, he can only see one team coming out on top.
“I think Liverpool will win,” Owen said on BT Sport.
“Manchester United will try and park the bus I guess, play very defensive.
“I think Liverpool will have too much.”
Former United midfielder Owen Hargreaves admits winning at Anfield would be a typical Mourinho result.
However, this time he cannot see United being able to cope with Liverpool’s style of play.
“They play with such intensity that Liverpool side and United don’t,” Hargreaves said.
“So I think it’s a big ask to go to Anfield and get a result.
“Mourinho’s done it in the past. I just think Liverpool are too good right now.
“I think they will win.”
Liverpool will be without central defenders Joel Matip and Joe Gomez for the visit of United due to injury.
United are without several players themselves including Alexis Sanchez who remains out with a hamstring problem.
