Man Utd could try to sign Neymar and Kylian Mbappe from PSG (Image: GETTY)
Manchester United remain an ambitious club. Ed Woodward insists silverware remains a priority, despite spending much of his time signing off commercial deals left, right and centre throughout his five years in charge.
Fans, however, are not so sure. Jose Mourinho has worsened the mood around Old Trafford with his various public outbursts, clashing with Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in private as a result.
Now, talk is rife that a change of management could happen at the end of the season. Mauricio Pochettino, it is claimed, is Woodward’s No 1 choice to come in.
And, therefore, deals for Neymar and Mbappe are not unfeasible.

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho snubbed the chance to sign Neymar and Kylian Mbappe (Image: GETTY)
Pochettino could get same promise
History suggests that, should United choose to make another managerial change, they will spend big in the transfer market.
And Woodward, given how he admires Pochettino, could be tempted to give the Tottenham boss the ideal welcoming present.
In 2014, when Louis van Gaal replaced David Moyes, United smashed the British transfer record by signing Angel Di Maria for £60m.
Two years later, upon appointing Mourinho, Paul Pogba arrived for a huge £89m.
History suggests United will splash the cash and, therefore, there is a chance Pochettino may get the chance to welcome one of Neymar or Mbappe into his squad.
