Man Utd have told Jose Mourinho he can splash the cash in the January transfer window

Mourinho has cut a frustrated figure this season after a below-par summer transfer window.
The Special One urged United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to sign a new centre-half to bolster the back four.
United were in for Godin, Leicester’s Harry Maguire and Tottenham star Toby Alderweireld.

However, Woodward refused to back his manager, instead signing Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.
United’s share prices plummeted yesterday, with around £300m coming off the club’s value.
It’s claimed the shares have dropped due to uncertainty in the market.
Red Devils chief Woodward recently boasted about United’s financial power, hinting they will spend in January.
