Chelsea news: Martin Tyler reveals the club he wants Eden Hazard to play for next season
EDEN HAZARD leaving Chelsea and the Premier League would be a big loss for the English top flight.
Hazard ‘struggling’ to decide on Madrid transfer says pundit
That is according to Premier League commentator Martin Tyler, who wants to see Hazard stay at Chelsea.
Belgium superstar Hazard has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Blues in recent months.
The 27-year-old has not hidden his desire of one day playing for Real Madrid.
Hazard has not allowed transfer talk to distract him on the pitch though and has been in fine form this season.
I really hope he pledges his long-term future to Chelsea and the Premier League
He has scored eight goals for the Blues in their unbeaten start in the league under Maurizio Sarri.
Not many would have commentated on Hazard more times than Sky Sports’ Tyler.
Tyler claims the forward has continued to improve on each season he has been at Chelsea.
And he would love him to put pen to paper on a new deal and extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
“Eden Hazard seems to get even better with each passing season,” Tyler said.
“He has also impressed me with the way he doesn't take himself too seriously - a twinkle in the eye to go with those twinkling feet.
“I really hope he pledges his long-term future to Chelsea and the Premier League.
“He would be a loss if he left.”
Hazard will be looking to add to his seven league goals when Chelsea visit Wembley to play rivals Tottenham on Saturday.
Tottenham are one point behind Chelsea in fourth but have lost both home games against the other two teams above them in the table this season - Liverpool and Manchester City.
Hazard's last goal for the Blues came over a month ago against Southampton on October 7.
His current Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2020 and he admits he is torn over whether to sign an extension.
