Sir Alex Ferguson’s biggest strength revealed by Jose Mourinho
That is the view of former Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron who is surprised at the decline of his old club.
Ferguson retired in 2013 - the last time United won the Premier League title.
In the years since, United’s best finish was second under Jose Mourinho, although they were left trailing by Manchester City.
Although Mourinho lifted the Europa League and EFL Cup in his first season in charge, the Portuguese tactician has come under fierce criticism this term.
And Veron thinks United are still “suffering” to this day and has likened it to a crisis of identity.
“They've suffered a lot from the departure of Ferguson," Veron said.
“They've never been able to find a direction, while there have been several changes along the way.
"Obviously Manchester City have found an idea, while United have struggled to find an idea or to maintain one since the departure of Ferguson.
