The Red Devils were 2-0 down at one stage against Rafa Benitez’s men before an inspiring second-half comeback.
Mourinho has cut a frustrated figure at times this season, having endured a miserable summer here his top transfer targets were not brought in.
United play Juventus in the Champions League tonight knowing a win is crucial to maintaining their group progression hopes.
Mourinho’s original charge was dropped on October 31, with the FA releasing a statement that read: "A charge against Jose Mourinho for allegedly using language which was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper has been found not proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today.

"It related to an incident at the end of the Manchester United versus Newcastle United game on 6 October 2018.
"Written reasons for the decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission will be published in due course. This decision is subject to appeal."
Mourinho was alleged to have said something ‘abusive and/or insulting and/or improper’ to the TV camera.
He appealed the charge at the time, meaning he was able to take to the bench for United’s Premier League games with Chelsea and Everton.
The FA’s own appeal will not affect Mourinho’s current standing on the United bench - he will be there for tonight’s Champions League game versus Juventus and this weekend’s derby with rivals Manchester City.
