Man Utd news: Mourinho made Woodward confession, Arsenal enquiry, Salah and Pogba claim
MANCHESTER UNITED news - Express Sport is on hand to bring you all the latest rumours and gossip coming out of Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho has been told he WON’T be sacked says pundit
Mourinho made Woodward confession
Jose Mourinho told close confidants he did not get enough face-to-face time with Ed Woodward this summer.
The Manchester Evening News claim the Special One told close pals he wanted to meet with the United executive vice-chairman more.
Mourinho was keen to land a centre-back this summer, however, Woodward failed to sign a big-money defender.
Manchester United ended up signing three players, with Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant heading to Old Trafford.
Ramsey Man Utd bid
Arsenal boss Unai Emery rejected United’s proposal to sign Aaron Ramsey in the summer.
The Daily Mirror say United were desperate to sign Ramsey before this season.
And they claim the Red Devils made a ‘discreet’ enquiry into landing the Wales international, who is out of contract at the end of this campaign.
However, Emery wanted to run the rule over his new players ahead of his arrival.
Arsenal fans say Ramsey is a 'snake' if he moves to Man Utd
Salah compared to Pogba
Paul Pogba and Mohamed Salah could both be suffering due to their World Cup exploits, Paul Ince says.
Ince told Express Sport: “Yeah, Salah’s struggling, but he’s an outstanding player.
“You can’t drop him as you need to keep those three (Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane) together.
“He was injured at the end of last season and maybe wasn’t fully fit for Egypt.
“I know Pogba was great for France but he’s not been as impressive for United.
“That could be because of the World Cup.
“I’ve played in these tournaments and they’re far from easy. They’re draining and can be exhausting.
“That could be why Salah is struggling and possibly Pogba too.”
