Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba feud truth revealed by Sky Sports pundit
MANCHESTER UNITED star Paul Pogba and his feud with Jose Mourinho has been blown out of proportion by the media.
Man Utd: Wright praises Pogba's tactics against Newcastle
That is the view of Sky Sports pundit Craig Bellamy.
Paul Pogba and Mourinho have been at loggerheads all season and the pair were involved in a training-ground row last month.
The World Cup winner was stripped of the vice-captaincy, but he produced an inspired display in the second half of Manchester United’s come-from-behind 3-2 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United’s win bought Mourinho - who was the subject of sack reports before the game - more time.
But Bellamy isn’t sure that Pogba’s problems with Mourinho are as severe as has been suggested.
“It looks like there a lot of Manchester United players who don’t believe in what they are being told to do. It’s clear,” Bellamy told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“They do have a lot of quality.
“I’m not surprised Pogba’s name got brought into it.
I think some journalists from certain papers say ‘it must be true'
“It’s probably the same journalist, the same media who said Mourinho would get the sack regardless of the result.
“There’s too much that has come out of the club.
“I’m not sure United can control too much of it. I think some journalists from certain papers say ‘it must be true’.
“They might say ‘oh there is no smoke without fire’.
“But there is loads of smoke without fire. I’ve been involved and there have been stories written about me that never happened and were completley untrue.
“I can’t see any way in this world Mourinho asking Pogba to do something and Pogba saying ‘we need to do this’. It wouldn’t happen.
“I understand the rules of journalists, but there needs to be more common sense.
“These group of players are struggling with the manager and that’s being transmitted to us.”
