Real Madrid admire Mbappe and wanted the 19-year-old before he joined Ligue 1 giants PSG a year ago.
The France international is currently the toast of world football after firing his country to the World Cup in Russia.
PSG loaned Mbappe from fellow Ligue 1 side Monaco a year ago, agreeing to pay them a huge £166million to secure the teenager’s signature.
But Transfermarketweb say the club are having trouble paying the money due to Financial Fair Play regulations in something that could work to Real Madrid's advantage.

And while the club are reluctant to pay that amount, Real would make an exception for Mbappe.
Speaking recently, though, he joined Neymar in expressing a desire to remain at the Parc des Princes.
He said: "I will stay with PSG, continuing on my path with them.
