Scott Quigg has surgery on broken jaw suffered in loss to Carl Frampton in Manchester
SCOTT QUIGG has undergone surgery on the broken jaw he suffered in his points loss to Carl Frampton last night.
Carl Frampton beat Scott Quigg on a split points decision in Manchester last night
The Bury fighter lost a split decision to the Belfast man in front of a raucous 20,000 crowd at Manchester Arena.
Frampton - now unified IBF and WBA super-bantamweight champion - caught Quigg with a right uppercut in the fourth round that cracked his jaw.

Quigg fought on and rallied late in the fight but Frampton's boxing skills meant he was a deserved winner.
The Bury man went to hospital after a tearful press conference.
Scans revealed his jaw was broken and promoter Eddie Hearn posted the images on Twitter.
He also revealed Quigg had surgery.
It is not clear how long he will be out of action.
