Jake Paul claimed that UFC boss Dana White has made a promise to Mike Perry ahead of their fight. The two are set to clash at 2am BST on Sunday, with Paul asserting that Perry has more than just pride to fight for with a potential UFC contract up for grabs.

Paul takes on the ex-MMA fighter after Mike Tyson had to withdraw from their scheduled showdown due to health concerns. But the bout has again been spiced up by Paul's claim of an added sweetener for Perry. At the fiery press conference on Thursday, tensions boiled over leading to Paul shoving Perry as the 'Problem Child' dropped the bombshell about White's knockout bounty.

In a candid interview with Ariel Helwani, Paul said: "He flew like six feet. But look, Dana White said that he's going to give him a UFC contract if he can knock me out. Well, guess what Dana, you can rip up the f****** contract because I'm going to f*** up Mike Perry."

"Anyone you send at me, any one of your MMA fighters is getting f****** up. They've been trying to assassinate me, they don't want me in this sport. They hate that I run this sport, but when you try to assassinate a guy like me it only makes me bigger."

Perry, who previously competed in the UFC from 2016 to 2021, has a record of seven victories and eight losses in the organization. His last fight in April 2021 resulted in a unanimous decision defeat against Daniel Rodriguez.

Since then, 'Platinum' has transitioned to the Bare Knuckle Championship where he boasts an impeccable record of five wins from five fights. His most recent victory was against Thiago Alves at Knucklemania IV upon his return to light heavyweight.

Paul has previously discussed his reasoning for accepting the risky fight against Perry ahead of his potentially career-defining bout with Tyson on November 15. "A lot of people think I'm crazy for pivoting to this; why Mike Perry, why now, why take the risk? Paul said."

"You could lose the biggest payday of your life against Mike Tyson if you lose to Mike Perry who is a violent killer, a bare-knuckle, undefeated legend over there. I need the experience, I need to stay active.

"I fear no man, I'm ready anytime, any place, anyone, and I truly back that up with my action, it's not just something I say; I'm here to become world champion, I've done everything else I wanted to do in boxing, I've exceeded my expectations so that's my last goal. I will be the cruiserweight world champion."
